Roles, Permissions, & Curriculum Levels

This document details Meal Counter's current user-types, flags, and permissions.

Active Flag

These flags govern whether or not users do or do not have access.

Flag Position Permission
Checked

  • Can access associated pages and user permissions; is "enabled"
Unchecked

  • Cannot access associated pages and use permissions; is "disabled"

  • Unchecking the active flag will not delete user.

  • Unchecking the active flag will not disable it for other roles at other sites; sponsors; states, etc.

  • If the user has zero active flags checked, they cannot access the application, even to update their profile.

Users & Permissions

This section lists the types of Meal Counter users and specifies what permissions they are given depending on their associated flags. Since permissions tend to “stack,” where a user inherits all designated permissions hierarchically beneath their assigned rank, it is recommended to read this table from the bottom up.

Also, the 'Curriculum Levels' column shows the recommended knowledge base categories for proficiencies by role.

Sponsor Admin

  • Inherits all permissions below, but is not listed as site point of contact and can create, read, and update at any Active Sites

  • Sees 'Sponsor Dashboard'; cannot see 'Site Dashboard' Can read all sponsor reports

  • Can Create, Read, Update, and, in some cases, Delete, organizational sponsor & site data in the 'Sponsor Manager' section; this includes adding and managing sponsor & Site user permissions.

  • If assigned to more than one Sponsor organization as admin in each; can access 'Sponsor Selection' page to switch between assigned organizations.

Sponsor Monitor

  • Inherits all permissions below, but is not listed as site point of contact and can create, read, and update at any Active Sites

  • Can switch between any active site within Sponsor Organization

Sponsor Active

  • Inherits all permissions below, but is not listed as site point of contact and can create, read, and update at any Active Sites

  • Can switch between any active site within Sponsor Organization

Site Admin

  • Inherits all permissions below, but is not listed as site point of contact

  • Can perform Bulk Data Entry

Site Supervisor

  • Inherits all permissions below

  • Is listed as the point of contact for the specified site(s) (Meals 'Not Reported' Section); only applies to Site users with Supervisor Permissions

  • Can Switch Between Sites if more than one is assigned

  • Can Switch Dates

  • Sees 'Site Dashboard;' Cannot see 'Sponsor Dashboard'
